Methodology
Scope
The show covers authoritarian conduct, democratic erosion and far-right activity in any country: election delegitimisation, suppression of opposition, attacks on independent media, political violence, unequal citizenship and surveillance infrastructure. It gives equal attention to resistance, to institutional checks and to democratic successes.
Sources
- Primary material is preferred: court records, legislation, official statements, election data and on-the-record reporting.
- Claims that rest on a single source say so. Contested facts are presented as contested.
- Every episode page lists the sources used for that episode.
Facts and analysis
Episodes distinguish between what is documented, what is reported by others and what is the host's analysis. Terms such as “authoritarian”, “fascist” or “coup” are used for specific conduct that fits a stated definition, not as general labels.
Corrections
Errors of fact are corrected on the affected episode page and listed on thecorrections page, with the date and what was changed.
